Nervous and I don't know why

    Hi all.

I have pcos and I'm off to see my endocronologist today. For some reason I'm really nervous. I know she's going to tell me I reall need to loose weight, I have struggled with that since have ds 10 months ago. Apart from that I'm not sure what she'll want to do. Dh and I have been ttc #2 for a few months but I still haven't got my period back. Ds stopped breastfeeding about 2 months ago but still no sign of af. Which is not really unusual for me. Anyway, I guess I just want to feel like there's some point to the appointment apart from "loose weight" I know that!

Anyway, on that note what things have worked for others with weight loss? I did weight Watchers and lost 5 kilos befor falling pregnant with ds but really can't afford to go back. Any good ideas ladies?

Doctors who just tell you to lose weight REALLY annoy me! How about giving us some actual help for a change?

I've just started an eating plan from a fertility specialist - no white rice, no lollies, no biscuits/cake, no fried foods, no tropical fruits and only 2 slices of bread per day. I'm hoping that will help me lose weight, but only time will tell

I do remember reading though, that with PCOS, even if you are going through the motions of losing weight - eating healthy, exercising regularly - and you don't actually lose weight, it will still have a positive effect on the symptoms. So it doesn't necessarily hafta be a numbers game ITMS.

    Hope your appointment went well!
