My partner and I have been together for 7 years. We have careers, lived abroad, and traveled all over the world. In fact, we are leaving in September to travel through India and Africa for the entire year.
When we return we are planning on starting our family. We are a year away from actually beginning the process, but wanted to get started in gathering as much information and advice we could.
Our questions are common and we would be interested in learning more about:
1. insemination methods - IUI vs ICI - at home vs. clinic
2. sperm - quality/quantity and international shipment
3. sperm donors - known vs. unknown - and good banks that ship abroad
4. cost for total process - at least a general estimate
5. anything you feel we need to know

I live in WA & I've only been through IUI's so I'm not going to be that helpful probably but basically the cost for me each month was around $900, but that's with sperm from WA, not from OS or anything like that. I went through a clinic obviously because I don't have a known donor, but the clinic I've been going through have been wonderful & all the procedures have been simple & easy. That's all I can really say I guess, but good luck & I hope you can get all the info you need
