My DH just makes them for us roasted ... he cuts crosses on the flat side, boils them for 10 mins and then roasts them in the oven. I think the boiling thing is meant to make them easier to peel as well as the cross cutting.
DH lived in the UK for 2 years when he was a teenager so it brings back memories for him of cold winters ... its a nostalgic food I think.
I like them plain roasted, but would be interested to see if anyone else has anything more interesting they do with them![]()
