    Change table with 'hidden' drawer?

I like the idea of a 3-tier change table with a 'hidden' drawer you can slide out to one side, from underneath the top tier. So you can store wipes, creams, etc away from sight and curious hands. The other two tiers are just an open shelf.

Touchwood in NZ make one but it's AUD$450!!! I just can't justify paying that much when a plain 3 tier table is less than $300.

Has anyone seen something similar anywhere in Australia?

    Thanks ladies

I forgot to add that I also need it to be quite tall (close to 100cm tall) and if possible in a teak colour!!

I'm not really fussy but I am 181cm tall and the furniture we've already been given is a teak colour so I would like it to match...

Probably not a lot of help, but I have one (not for sale though)

It's white (could be mdf or melamine), can't find a brand name on it though,

It has the top shelf (for nappy mat), a drawer underneath that, then another two shelves. I purchased it second hand, a couple of years ago so obviously they're out there somewhere. I have also seen wooden ones very similar.

Have you tried the online baby supply stores?

I wanted the same thing and also liked the touchwood one but thought the price tag a bit hefty. I searched everywhere and couldn't find another one like it. Then I found a second hand one on ebay. Very similar but with 2 drawers instead of one. I love it. Not much help to you though because it also has no branding on it but I guess it does show that they are out there somewhere.

I can't believe there can be so many change tables that are all pretty much the same and only one company in NZ thinks a top drawer is a good idea. It's terrific. I have nappies, nappy rash cream, wipes, some cloth nappies and some wraps in the top drawer, out of sight. Then, when I'm changing I just pull the drawer out and its all at the same level for me to grab.

Boori do one that is all draws? they are $$ but you can take the change table edge off later and use it as a normal chest of draws type thing so it's not a "one time use" item, iykwim
We have one, DH is 6'3" and can use it fine

Thanks for the replies - it's nice to know that these tables are out there somewhere, ha ha.
Teagz - though about getting a chest of drawers with a change top, but we already have some hand-me-down drawers so I can't justify buying new ones - and the ones we have are not high enough to put a change top on!

Just today I found a basic 3 tier - no drawer though - from Mother's choice (the 'Sebel') for only $199, and it's super-tall! So maybe I'll have to compromise and get one without the draw but maybe get some nice boxes etc to store all the bits in on the shelves... Although it only comes in white with a strip of teak across the top - the rest of our nursery is the teak colour - I guess this would still work though? I'm not massive fussy over it matching perfectly...

i think the white will go perfectly... white goes with everything! And the little strip of teak will bring it together with the rest of your stuff

Not sure if you have already bought one but I did see one online the other day which fits this description (although the draw pulls out at the front, not the side). It was called the Babyhood Tuscany and was about $239.

i just saw this. I have one descibed by you exactly i got it on ebay for $50. It's not for sale cos i'm about to need it, but if you don't mind the idea of second hand, you may be able to get one on ebay.
