rice cooker instructions for basmati rice
hi all
i have a breville rice cooker and cant find the instruction book.
can anyone suggest the rice to water ratio for cooking basmati rice?

I would add 1.5 times the rice amount, I am pretty sure the rice cooker will absorb any excess water so best to do too much than not enough.

... another tip which you might already know is make sure to pre-wash the basmati rice before putting in the rice cooker, gets out any starch

I've got a Breville too and always go 1.5 cups of water to each cup of rice. Never had an issue

i wash rice then do 1.25 cup to each 1 cup rice mind you i do like my rice slightly firm not soggy.

I don't measure but if you put the tip of your thumb on top of the rice the water should come up to your first knuckle... Hope that makes sense?!
