    PCOS and metabolism

I know that eating often (6x per day) and exercisong helps increase the metabolism but what else can I do? I have a feeling that my metabolism has once again slowed down but I do not want to use drugs to help it again, I want to do this naturally.

Sorry I don't have any answers but wanted to ask what drugs you took last time to help as I have found that it seems impossible to shift even a kilo!

Erybery, it is likely to be metformin. I don't know that metformin acts on the metabolism, but it does help reduce insulin resistance - which is the main cause of PCOS. Metformin helps increase the body's sensitivity to insulin - less insulin flooding the body means a lot of the symptoms of PCOS can be reduced.

Drink plenty of water I found when I felt like soft drink I would buy soda water instead! And started eating more fish and steamed vegies and cutting right back on sugar as with PCOS sugar isn't really good for us at all! I dropped 6kg's in 2 weeks by doing this and treadmill once a week... Have you though of going to a naturopath to help with a natural kickstart?

PCOS is a PITA when it comes to loosing weight!

I was on Duromine (had to stop TTC for a while) and dropped 5 kgs on 10 days.
I have to be carefull with my sure intake as I have low blood sugar level rather than the other way around which is really annoying when it comes to losing weight but I am eating low gi foods and upping my intake of complex carbs rather than "bad" sugars although I still sit at about 3.6-4.2 which is frustrating.
I tend to drink too much water so I can't do much more there I have ~6ltrs per day.
    BTW what is Metformin?
