    Which course?

So, in 12-18months time I might be in a position to be able to afford to do a masters.
One of the areas I am looking at is relatively niche, and there are 2 main options I have

A course in melbourne which is on campus, has great sounding subjects and costs 19K

A course at Edith Cowan uni (WA) that I can do off campus so distance education.
The subjects will cover whats required for a good grounding in the field, but dont sound as exciting as the ones in Melbourne so, but its only 14K, and 5K is a huge difference for us.

    What do you think?

If possible, i always think on campus is better. The support is right there. Also the fact that you are more excited by the course content in Melb makes it seem like the better choice. Could you put it off a year and save the extra $$$?

    Re: Which course?

I study off campus, it is a challenge but also has it's benefits of being able to work when I want, be at home, have a baby, no travelling an hr for an hr lecture etc.
Downside is you need to motivate yourself and you don't have the support of classmates, although we have online forums which help a little.
It was hard adjusting to external studies but so far so good, I'd been out of school ten yrs when I started and I'm finding it pretty good

Its a masters, so no commonwealth supported places.
Id have to save for at least 12 months anyway, and the on campus one - each subject is 3 fulls days, th/fr/sat once off, so its not like there are weekly classes.
I think I want to do the one in Melb, but the fact the the other one I can work around my life and job is good too.
I guess I have 12 months min to decide anyway.

Oh and its in IT/digital forensics.
