I was diagnosed with Endo in 05, Had 6 months of Zoladex treatment then had it removed in 06.
Eventually fell PG with my Son in 07 after 2.5yrs of TTC and A/C.
Since having a M/C (Natural conception) in 08 my symptoms seem to be returning.
I have the worst bowel pain when I have AF, It hurt's to urinate, pass wind ect, I get thigh pain and my vagina feels like it's throbbing!
We are doing IVF at the moment but It's getting to the point of being unbearable when I have AF, Like today. I am in agony, I can't stand fully upright and when I stand I get the thigh pain.
Is there an increased risk of the Endo returning if you have previously had it? Should I look into it more before spending more money on another round of IVF?
Your symptoms are exactly what I used to go through monthly, so I feel you pain - I had a lap and extensive areas of endo removed and it was soooo worth it - I would forget the IVF for a while and do something about the endo first.
Endo doesn't actually go away when you have a child, it just improves - it has obviously now started growing again and gotten worse.
Uh oh.... sounds like your endo may be coming back to me (I had VERY similar symptoms before my first surgery). Even though Zoladex stops endo growths feeding on oestrogen, it doesn't mean that it still can't grow back at a later stage. Were those symptoms typical before your Zoladex treatment?
Perhaps speak to your IVF specialist (or even nurse?) because they might have some thoughts on the matter?
