Acupuncturist Recommendations :Brisbane (Specialising in VBAC/Inducing Labour)

    Hi Ladies,

I am planning for a VBAC & would like to start preparations with some Acupuncture.
My first bub was induced after 13 days post term & ended up with c/s due to distress.
I am worried that I wont go into labour again and my hopes of a VBAC dashed so I would
love to get some recommendations on accupuncturists in Brisbane who can help me.
Any other suggestions to help would be cheerfully accepted too.
    Thanks
    Anna

    Hi there!

Lots of BB people recommend Beau Mannix in Indooroopilly and he is very nice (I went to him for a while for IVf acu and morning sickness acu - neither of which was effective, but I don't think that is his fault). I also saw an acu in Kenmore, on that is above the Kenmore Coles. I saw a nice lady there for induction (I was post dates) and she was really nice. I avoided induction by just 1 day (DS born at 41w6d).

You've probably already investigated all your other options as well, but I would also suggest - raspberry leaf tea, evening primrose oil and lots of walking, even kurb walking during your 3rd trimester. But I guess you've probably experienced it all from your DS. All the best for your VBAC!

    Cool

I was induced with accupuncture (my waters broke and contractions didn't start on there own, my DS was here by 5am the next day.) at a clinic in West End run by Phil Vanderziel. I always go there when I need accupuncture as they are brilliant. Phil's great and has heaps of experience, but I usually see Corinne Young- she's lovely, though she might be on maternity leave by now. either way everyone there is really great.
I think what I'm trying to say in a not very articulate way is, I think Corrine Young is the best, but if she's not there Phil and the others are great too. Lol. PM me if you would like thier number or just google "Phil Vanderziel" (I think I've spelt that right) "West end accupuncture".
