Rash around nipple

Hi all,

I have noticed in the past few days that i have a raised red dotty rash around my nipples that is very sore especially when i attach bub for a feed. Not sure what it is but wondering if it could be thrush ? Bub did have thrush a few weeks back but it has now gone.
I've also noticed around the same time each time i feed the breast bubs isnt feeding from gets shooting pains, not sure what this is either but could it have anything to do with the rash ? Also what can i do to help with the rash and ease these shooting pains?

Westy, that sounds like the thrush again. Why don't you try the ABA helpline (1800 mum 2 mum) and get their advice? You'll have to treat both yourself and bub to get rid of it (which you probably already know, having been through it before).

I thought it would most likely be thrush again, i am using the daktarin again and it seems to be helping so that's good. Thanks for your advice i really appreciate it
