Some of my favourite girl names begin with the letter P (Poppy, Piper, Pepper) however my surname begins with the letter U. Thus bub would then have the initals "PU" which said individually sounds like smelly or when pronounced together sounds like p**. I think I have answered this myself that it is best to avoid these names or use them as middle names, but just interested to get your thoughts.
Many thanks
I dont think it really matters too much although in saying that I did vitoe DH's middle name suggestion.
Our little girls name is Peppar and our surname begins with a T. He wanted her middle name to be after his mother which is Mae, P M T, I dont think so honey!
I don't honestly think it's a big deal. One of my fave boy name combos gives the initials BRA, so obviously that's out, but PU is really not an issue, I don't think. Especially in our multicultural society where people have first names like Pu and Phu.
Hehe ... my first *almost* got the initials ASS but now she's APS.
Second is CLS, which is how my partner abbreviates his internet moniker (ok, we're geeks)
And the winning name combos for #3 are SSS and SMS, which seem innocuous enough. Hopefully they have something better than SMSs when he grows up
TSS came up as an option and my partner didn't know what it was. He doesn't read tampon packets lol
Maybe you can look into a looooong name that doesn't start with P but abbreviates to one that does? Unfortunately I can't think of any offhand though!
I hate thinking of names. I have 5 weeks to go and still don't really have a final choice for a name.
