She wakes up screaming NO NO NO NO! Shes really hard to settle then! Her language is coming along really well. Shes picking up new words and is able to mimik too. Shes also esting her limits too.. today i told her off and she came up to me and smacked me on the leg and said...no, dont! Too funny!
    Hope all is well

    Hey Mel,

Bella is that same! She can say so many words! and her tantrums are coming along nicly! lol! I told her off today and she looked at me and just screamed! and kept screaming! She is also testing her limits (and ours!) she will climb on her chair and then say "Mummy... Get Down Bella!" lol

she will say back to us what we say to her! Funny... but try not to laugh at her when she is telling me off for telling her off!
She will run to the back door and yell at the dogs when they bark too!

    Hope eveyone else is well!!

YAY!! YAY!! YAY!! Big congrats Leigh - awesome news!! So glad everything went smoothly for you and your new little girl!

Argh, don't even get me started on tantrums - Sienna's are off the hook!!! She does the whole throw herself down on the floor, kicking and crying - joy, joy!! I'm getting much better at ignoring the naughty tantrums (ie, not getting what she wants) and differentiating them from the frustration tantrums (ie, can't get two blocks to join together etc), so that's helping a bit.

Her talking has been increasing amazingly!! She can sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and her own interpretation of the alphabet, and she's incredibly bossy: "I do it" "Mummy eat this" "Daddy open the door please" "Chino (our dog) be quiet!!" - she's so cute!!

She's just finishing off her anti-biotics for two middle ear infections and slight tonsilitis - poor little thing, she's such a trooper when she's sick, but it's so lovely to have our happy healthy little girl back again.

So in short, we're all keeping well, no major dramas!

    Take care lovelies xx

    Hi girls,

hope you're all well. We're still in hospital, possibly going home this when DH finishes work, if not should be tomorrow. I've still got my staples/stitches in & they'll probably come out tomorrow so it might be worth me staying one more night, plus in here I've only got one child to look after & no cooking or cleaning.

We decided to name our bub Lexie Charlotte. She is so cute, I love her to bits. So tiny & not much hair, pretty much bald lol.

Lara has totally rejected me since I've been in here. She won't come near me or even look at me. She's usually such a mummys girl, hope she warms up to me once I'm home. She has shown some positive interest in Lexie which is good, although she did whack her on the head yesterday. Cadence absolutely loves her though. She's a real mother hen & takes over.

Kate- any news on a bfp?

Gotta go, sorry for the lack of personals. I'll pop in again tomorrow or the next day.

Leigh... Congratulations on the arrival of Lexie Charlotte.... a beautiful name. Hope youre feeling well, enjoy the rest! Good to hear you can possible go home tomorrow too. Hows the feeding going... are you able to b/f? Sorry to hear Lara is not coping well. Hopefully by the time you get home she will settle down a bit. It breaks you heart doesnt it! I remember Olivia not coping so well with Becs arrival... very trying times...especially with smaking a newborn on the head!!! Luckily Cadence is a bit older and is able to help you with Lexie and or Lara!

We are all good here. Not a lot to tell really! Take care

    Hey Mel,

I'm actually able to go this arv now. Just waiting for DH to finish work which shouldn't be too much longer. I'm breast feeding. Before my milk came in I was breast feeding plus giving a formula top up, recommended by the lactation consultant coz she was so little & early but now my milk is in I'm fully breastfeeding, so far so good.

Excited to be going home but a bit nervous too. Hope we have a good night!

Mel - Lara warmed up to me again as soon as I walked in the door. Smiling at me and wanting me to pick her up. The hardest thing is coz I've had a c/s I can't lift anything heavier than Lexie and I'm dying to pick Lara up and give big cuddles. i get her to sit on the couch with me and cuddle and kiss her.

Our first night was pretty good, I was only up once at 2am to feed Lexie and that's coz I woke her. I thought I'd better coz it was getting close to 5hrs since her last feed. The hospital did say I could go 5 - 6 hrs overnight without feeding though. She fed for 30 mins then straight back to sleep. She then didn't start stiring til 6:45am and I woke her properly at 7am to feed. Shes been such a good bub so far. I'm starting to get pretty tired though. Only when I sit down and do nothing though. I'm hopefully going to try for a sleep this arv.

Great to hear Leigh. I am hoping my next baby will sleep more than 2-3 hours in a row! Neither girls did it for me! Am really happy Lara has warmed up to you... maybe it was just the hospital environment.

Well DH has applied for a job at the Desalination plant in Wonthaggi.... which means that if he gets it, we will be moving away for 2-3 years! I am really hoping he does because its good money and constant work. It also means that he can have a break from being self employed, which has been stressful lately coz there isnt much work around and its also hard to get money off people who owe him...because they are stretched too! It will be good for me too coz I do his bookwork and I hate doing it! It will be a nice sea change too, but not too far from Melbourne (i think its only about 1.5 hours away) so will be able to regularly catch up with family.

CONGRATS LEIGH! WOW! I came in to check how you were and now you have a precious baby girl! Awww. I adore the name Lexie I can't believe how good she is sleeping! OMG! Mia never ever did that, not until she was 14 months old!

Mel that sounds like a terrific opportunity for DH's job! Pity you can't move over this way so we can have play dates hehe! You are over half way now, yay!

Melly gosh Sienna is gorgeous. She is soooo sooo cute! She doesn't have tanties does she?? Too angelic! LOL

Mia has a heavy cold atm. She has been not wanting to settle herself and wanting to be held, which is hard. I hope it gets better over the next few days anyway! Hope everyone is well

HEy Skye... I hope Mia picks up soon. I think my girls are coming down with yet another cold! Its freezing here today and I need to go out shopping. So couldnt be bothered! I love these tanties! Rebecca was dreaming/half awake most of the night yelling out NONONO! MMM.. not a load of sleep here!
I am so excited that I am 24 weeks today. Roughly 15 weeks to go! The weight is piling on, but thats my own fault coz I cant stop eating chocolate. Even in the mornings I need something sweet. Doesnt help when DH comes back from the shop with loads of junk!
I really hope dh gets this job. Such a good opportunity.
    Hope you are all well.

    Hi Girls,

How are you all going? We're doing well. Lexie is going great. Still such a good baby and hardly crieds (would be good if she stays like this). I am still having to wake her for feeds, including in the middle of the night. She is now over her birth weight which is good. We had her weighed yesterday and she weighed 2690g. I'm still feeding her every 3 hrs but I am wondering when I can starting letting her sleep through at night, or at least sleep until she wakes on her own for a feed. Cadence slept through the night at 6wks and Lara at 5 wks so there is going to come a time very soon where I want Lexie to sleep through too and I'm afraid with me waking her every night (usually around 2.30am - 3am) that it might become a habit.

Mel - Did your DH get the job? I piled on the weight with my pregnancy with Lexie too, that bad thing is I am really craving chocolate at the moment so its going to be hard for me to lose the weight.

Sky - I hope Mia is over her cold and that you didn't catch it off her.

Kate - Any pregnancy news? Hope Bella is well.

Melly - How are you and Sienna?

Hi Laurin, if you pop in.

Leigh, great to hear from you. We have been busy with my brothers wedding over the weekend. I had such a good time. I'm not too sure when we will find out about dhs job application. I hope that if he does get it he wont start til after the baby is born, but I will take whatever!!!
I have had to pull our cot apart today. Lately rebecca has been climbing into it, but today I put her down for her arvo nap and all I could her was her yelling out Oh no!!! I walked in to check her and she was hanging over the edge of the cot. I wanted to keep her in there coz Im not ready to deal with having to get her used to the bed, but DH was not too keen and I get his point... its a long way to the floor! So tonight is the night. I hope she goes straight to sleep as she hasnt had a nap today. Am about to put her to bed.... I remeber with Olivia I would have to sit there for ages with her. I suppose it will be better if I do it now as opposed to when this little one comes along! Wish me luck!
Glad things are going well for you Leigh. I am looking forward to having this baby Cant wait!

Oh Mel, good luck for tonight. I still have Lara in the cot and I'm not looking forward to shifting her into a bed at all. Cadence was a nightmare and used to get out of the bed all the time, she could reach our door handles and come out into the lounge room. I used to have to put her back to bed that many times. I'm praying Lara will be a breeze when the time comes when I have to put her in a bed. I am hoping to keep her in the cot until she turns 2, I shifted Cadence into a bed a couple of wks after her 2nd birthday and I'm planning on doing the same for Lara but it all depends on how fast Lexie grows and how soon she will need the cot. She has plenty of room in the bassinet for the time being. Glad you had a good time at your brothers wedding. I have my cousin's wedding in 2 1/2 wks, I still need to find something to wear to it. Coz I had a caesar I can't drive for another 4 wks so that means I will have to get DH to drive me around looking for something to wear, it will be a nightmare coz he hates shopping. I might have to express for the night of the wedding coz I'd like to have a couple of drinks.

Leigh... i didnt want her in the bed! Really I was happy for her to stay in the confines of the cot. Last night had me in tears. Olivia was trying so hard to help but was making it worse! They share the room so Olivia didnt get to sleep til 9pm. Bec took 45 minutes to get to sleep and all i heard was Liv saying its ok becca, go to sleep.
She stayed in her room until 530, then came into bed with us. Not too bad for the first night. Lets see how her day sleep goes!
Enjoy your wedding. Pitty I wasnt closer coz I would have come shopping with you! Do you have any pics of you baby?
Anyway must go.... I have a room full of guys who slept on the lounge coz dh went out with them to the football...then the pub last night and didnt get home til 1am.
