S&S - what did it do for you?

Curious to know other women's experiences of stretch and sweep...

I just had one, a few hours ago and was told by the MW that I could expect some spotting, maybe a show, or even for contractions to start.

None of which has happened - yet!

So what happened for you, if you care to share?

ETA - also, when did it happen??? Straight away, that night, next day, etc?

I had one with both girls.
DD1 - had the S&S about 7pm Tuesday night, had a show about 3am and contractions started about 8am Wednesday. Miss J was born early Thursday morning.
DD2 - had S&S Monday about 12pm and had nothing until Tuesday night when I had a few contractions start. Had Miss S Wednesday night.

Thanks Sunshine! I think I was expecting something straight away (or almost!) but looks like it might still take a while...

I had one a day past my EDD, but told the dr about the inconsistant pains I'd been having since the Saturday afternoon/Sunday day (my Obs appt was on the Tuesday) and he said not to worry bout it.
I had my S+S at 9am, went walking around the shops for an hour, got back to my ILs place, slept from bout 12pm to 3pm (without meaning to) - I'd slept for that long because I was feeling really sick from the S+S and waited for DH to come pick me up (he didn't want me alone after I'd past all three of my EDDs - the 10th, the 16th and the 19th of October)
Anyways, started really feeling things at 12pm (the sickness and the pains getting worse and worse) - got home at 8pm, tried to sleep at 10:30pm, and that's when it started getting intense - 6:56am the next morning, DS was born

I had one when pregnant with DD1 - had it on the tuesday (so I think I was 41wk + 3 days) and had a bit of spotting, but then absolutely nothing and she was born by c-section on the saturday at exactly 42 weeks.

Didn't have one with DD2 - was never offered by my midwives.
