    I give myself permission!!

Like all parents I am available to my kids and family 24/7 and I tend to put myself and my needs last. I do work 24 hours a week (3 days of 8 hours) but apart from that my kids/family come first. Always have, always will. But today I'm feeling all guilty because my next roster I have three days where I'm not rostered to work on the kids childcare days and I've been torn as to whether I should keep them home on those three days or still send them and have these days to myself.

Well I've decided that I am going to give myself permission to have these three days off to go to the hairdresser and have lunch with my girlfriends and I'm not going to feel guilty!!!

I also give myself permission to have a shower by myself and spend 5 minutes in the bathroom after my shower to moisturise all over and not race out to keep looking after the kids. Their dad is more than capable.

So what are you going to give yourself permission to do that you haven't been??

I think I'm definitely going to give myself permission to not feel bad that DH can get DS to sleep and take him when I'm getting stressed out

Good on you! Enjoy those 3 days - I am currently trying to work out how to get some time as like everyone between work, kids, housework etc there is not much else! So being rebellious here and only doing housework for an hour a morning and then playing until bedtime (with the odd bit of food prep of course). xxxx

I dont know hun. IMO I would have them home. Maybe even one of those days? If you feel you need those days deff take 1 or 2 for yourself

Good on you for making time for yourself. I have my eldest dd in cc for 2 days a week just so we both get a break. I give myself premission to take an hour a day to exercise so I can be a better mum by being healthy and destressing.

Good on you babe, it is very VERY rare that we get to have some R n R time for US. Like you said, we always put our jobs, family, housework etc first but never us. I hope that you enjoyed your time to yourself. You deserve it xo
