For our 1st wedding anniversary DH & I went on the Tramcar Restaurant in Melbourne - was awesome!
I gave him tickets to drive a racecar at Calder Park, because of the paper thing for 1 year.

    The traditional gift is paper.

Our first anniversary we gave each other tickets to see Pearl Jam.

We also had a night at the resort we had our reception & first night as a married couple at.

We cooked a nice 3 course meal together and then DH surprised me with tickets to see Jamie Oliver live. We're foodie nerds LOL

We didn't bother with gifts or anything. Dh had just had an operation on his knee so we just stayed home, cooked a nice dinner & opened a bottle of wine, then conceived our first child

We had a friends wedding we had to travel for, so we got a nice B&B and did the touristy thing. Had a really good weekend.
This year for our second, we have another wedding close to it, so we're going to extend our time away for 4 days while my folks have the kids. Different destination this time too.

We went to Singapore for a holiday! Haven't really followed any traditions with our anniversaries. DH booked a hot air balloon one year This year (7th) we are getting the kids minded while we go out for a fancy lunch together or something.

we had just gotten back from NZ and found out we were preg with DD.
DH got me a huge stack of scrapbook paper (but I can't remember what I got him) and I cooked a beautiful dinner at home.
