I have a jar of plum sauce I want to use to marinade chicken for dinner but do I need to add anything to it to make it a marinade......It is like jelly in the jar not like sauce at all!!
Mix it with soy sauce, garlic, ginger & honey. Can't remember the exact amounts...maybe a clove of garlic, a knob of grated ginger (you can leave that out if you like) a tablespoon of honey & a couple of spoons of soy sauce.
Oh and some chopped eschallots if you have them.
