    DTD while UTD

    Hi All

I am hoping you can all shed some light for me.

DP is hassling me about DTD. He feels left out and unloved. WTF
We attempted to DTD last night but I lost it. I broke down cause I was so scared that we were doing something wrong.

Is it ok? Am I stressing over nothing? Can DTD cause a MC or anything like that?

Sorry its a ramble. Im still bit upset about the whole thing. Like I'm not giving him what he needs.

    xx

From what I've heard and read, DTD is perfectly safe. Apparently you can have a little bit of bleeding afterwards, but it hasn't been my experience. My poor hubby is missing out because I've completely lost my libido! He's been reading about how pregnant women can get quite a high sex drive, but it's had the opposite effect on me! Poor bugger! I think it's because I'm so tired that when we go to bed I just crash out!

Thats exactly what DP has heard so he's a little disappointed. I did my best to ignore it and humor him but it didnt end well at all.

There is no issue with DTD while pregnant, unless you have previous issues or the doctor recommends you don't - due to cervical issues usually.

It can be a mental thing for us though, and preg hormones don't always equate to massive sex drive either, despite popular belief! It is different for everyone - my DH went without for 18 months - the whole pregnancy and 9 months after - I simply had no desire whatsoever to do ANYTHING at all.

But there is no medical reason why you cannot DTD, and enjoy it - as often as you both like. Remember too that for many men, a pregnant partner is a HUGE turn on...it is primal thing, and they love it lol and he will want to be as close to you as possible, and that means physically.

Talk to each other and be honest, take it slowly and find the intimacy and everything else will flow on by itself.

1stTimer is right, DTDing while UTD is perfectly safe unless advised by a Dr not too and it can cause slight bleeding as i have read and been told by Dr's also

BUT I must say if at any time u feel discomfort i would advise to stop

when i was 12wks 5 days we DTD and the next morning i was bleeding now the night before when we DTD i felt uncomfortable but DP was enjoying so i kept going and yes ended up bleeding the next day, so PLEASE just stop if feeling any discomfort!

Unless your doc says otheriwse, DTD is fine...like LimeSlice said though be honest with each other and keep intimacy strong. I can count on one hand the number of times hubby and I have DTD in the last couple of months- a far cry from the TTC sessions!!! :P We have kept cuddles etc going though- it is important that you both feel loved.
