Exclamation Best place to buy christening gowns?

Ok, since I'm super organised () I have forgotten to get the girls some dresses to wear for their naming ceremony on the 29th.

So that means obviously I have to find somewhere to buy them from (and not cost the earth cos we are pretty poor at the moment) and can also have them on the sunshine coast in time for the ceremony.

Any ideas? I've looked at overseas sites which are really nice, but don't trust they will get here in time for the ceremony.

Please hit me with ideas!! Not much on ebay that doesn't need to come from Hong Kong either..

Look at flower girl dresses on ebay, many people are selling multiple dresses in various sizes all in the same style. You could probably find 2 similar or identical dresses quite cheaply, although not brand new.

David Jones always have the slightly fancier little girls dresses. They might also have something? You can always send someone up on the Sunshine Coast out to look if you're a bit short on options in Tas.

Yeah I don't think there is a David Jones here - at least not near me. We do have a Myer though, so maybe I'll look in there on the weekend.

My mum suggested that Eden wear my niece's christening gown, if my sister will let us use it. Not sure what size it is though, she was christened when she was about 9 months old, but she's much smaller than Eden is... (my big fatty!)
