Hi, I keep hearing that a baby's room should be kept between 18 and 20 degrees. This seems awfully cold to me, especially since we live in Cairns. I freeze below 23, can't imagine a poor little bub!
We are in Melbourne and kept the nursery at around 16 overnight with sleeping bags and blankets! They are surprisingly resilient really, but if you feel more comfortable with it warmer that is fine but make you aren't swaddling too much or too many blankets on top of keeping bub warm. 23 is balmy for us here at the moment!
I remember the midwives telling me that the room should ideally be between 16 and 20 degrees... But I doubt having it warmer is too much of a problem as long as bubs isn't too rugged up.
