    The cool stuff :)

So this time around, we have all the big ticket stuff... The only left to buy is the capsule so not fussed.
Have the cot, change table, car seats... all that.

    Sooooo....
    What is the cool stuff?
Did you get one of those swisho rocker swing chair things that moves and vibrates and ties your shoes?
One of those spinning Lamaze mat things?

lol In a position to get some funkier more non essential stuff this time around, so need people to tell me what is out there, what is a complete load of bull and what was really fab please!

I'm such an 'organiser' that DD seemed to have all the 'cool stuff' and she's our first, LOL!!

My favourite, wouldn't be without items were/still are:
    - the Bumbo. Awesome, until she learnt how to climb out of it!
    - our Mclaren rocker - still use it almost every day! It's great for keeping our DD contained in the bathroom while I shower
    - our Fisher Price Jumperoo - still using it today and DD is almost 14 months old.

ETA: now that I'm not half asleep (and not referring to my DD as DS, lol!) I've thought of a couple of other things:
    - my Babyhood breastfeeding rocking chair. I loved that (and still do!) more than I thought I would. It's so comfy!
    - Angelcare Sound & Movement monitor
    - a playpen - we have a beautiful King Parrot white wooden one.

:yeahthat: Thats pretty much everything I was gonna say! The jumperoo is a lifesaver. DD has loved it since she was first able to use it, and it is so handy to keep her occupied when you need to get something done like have a shower or get dressed or get dinner organised.

    Have fun shopping LimeSlice

Oh yes, Exosaucer! This kept DS entertained when all he wanted to do was practise crawling and scream because he just wasn't there yet!
I also loved his vibrating bouncer, so did he for that matter.

I would say yes to a swing (so handy!) and no to a Bumbo....my personal experience is that Palmer was such a tall baby that we were only able to use it for a month. Maybe have a think about getting a 2nd hand one instead of paying brand new price if you have big babies.

Definitely a bumbo! We bought one for DS2 and he still likes to sit in it and he is 3! Poor DD2 barely got a chance to sit in it, but never through a lack of trying.

LOL ours has a baby capsule, a vibrating bouncer, a shared change table and a cardboard box with all his clothes in We have a bassinette but he's never in it and he keeps hitting his head on the ends anyway. The baby bath is also too small, and we use it for a laundry basket too.

He's dangerously close to outgrowing the capsule too, which is a problem. Must stop feeding him

We got a fisher price swing/cradle, the one that looks like a papasan chair, soooo comfy looking! (the actual name of it escapes me right now ) Was one of the best things for a fussy baby.
We also have a Kickin Coaster and IMO waste of money DS really didn't like it, looked great in theory but wouldn't have missed it at all if we never had one. The toys on the end of it were like torture for him because he could see them but not touch them, he enjoyed it more once he could stand up and get to the toys rather than sit in it and look at them I didn't like his head/neck position it it either.

Have fun shopping for cool stuff
