What are the symptoms of hayfever in kids? I know its probably a silly question, but DD1 I think DD1 has it.
Both girls have just got over a week of being sick. A few days ago my hayfever kicked in, and Im a mess.
But now DD1 has this cough that sound similar to mine. Like her throat is dry and itchy, I have a similar one from all the pollen.
She also has a runny nose, sneezing a fair bit, and shes rubbing her face a fair bit too.
If its hayfever what can I give her to help her out?
I would imagine that they would have similar symptoms to us...
With Sam, it's a nose that streams clear snot, sneezing, and sometimes his eyes will just stream water as well. He tends to tug at his ears at times and often behaves a bit like he has an itchy palate... all the same as myself!
With him, we use claratyne. He loves the taste of it (but then he also loves panadol and nurofen and runs over and opens his mouth when ever he sees the box!) and we've had no issues getting him to take it and it works. Wish the adult tablets worked as well for me! There are other brands of antihistamine for kids over the age of 1, but the chemist suggested that one to us. If you do get it, just be warned that it doesn't come with a syringe. It's the only one that doesn't.
