    What do I do??

    Hey

DP and I have been struggling with money for a little bit, and paying quite a bit in rent ($120 p/w. which is alot for this town!) and we had a look on the internet this morning and there's a house for sale that we'd like to look at. We've talked alot about buying the house we're in, but can't get a straight answer from our landlord as to whether she'll sell it or not.

Only thing is, there's no price on the ad of the house we're looking at... if we look at it and get seen then the whole town will be talking about it, and bub's is due in a few weeks and we could be in Melbourne for 6 weeks after that.

Should we go look at it? Should we wait for another house to come up, which would take a while...

Can you ring the real estate agent and ask what price range the seller is hoping for?

Otherwise, just go look at it and don't worry about what other people think. They don't have to live your life. If you think this house could be the house, don't pass up the opportunity to check it out further. Have no regrets!

Yes I'd call the real estate agent and ask if there is a buyers guide but be careful as often they tell you something alot less then its worth to get you in to look at it.

When I decided to buy a place I was renting for $150 a week and morgage repayments were only $75 a week so a huge saving and my money wasn't going away in dead rent. Maybe you could organise your finances now so when something comes up (or this one you like) if you do want to buy it you will be that one step ahead.
