    Got too hot in bed

At 4 weeks pg, I have been ill. DH has been off all day looking after our DS and I have been in bed. I was absolutely freezing as our heating has broken so I put my dressing gown on in bed. I fell asleep and when I woke up, I was boiling. I took my temp (although I used the child ear bit instead of the adults) and it was about 39.3. I tried a few more times and kept making a mess of it and then realised I had the wrong end on. After I sorted it out it was 36.7 but my dressing gown was off by then and I had cooled down.

The illness is not the cause for the high temp, it is just because I got bundled up and then fell asleep. I didn't feel particularly dizzy when I got up and was not really sweating either.

Now I am really worried as I remember reading somewhere the last time I was pg that this was why you couldn't have baths. Have I hurt my baby.

I hate early pregnancy, it makes me worried about everything, so sorry if I sound a bit mad.

Nah. Let yourself off the hook
I believe high temperatures are dangerous to a baby if they are sustained. Your body woke you up because you were too hot. I would be confident that it wouldn't have been sustained for long enough to cause damage to your baby. Go and talk to a dr if you are worried, but IMO it's nothing to worry about.
    I hate early pregnancy too!
