    High pulse during pregnancy

Well lately Ive been noticing sometimes I feel as though I am having heart palpitations. Mostly at night, when Im lying down.

My HR is normally between 90-100. Today I was walking around at work and I felt a bit funny and did my HR and it was 167.

I went and sat down and it slowly went down to 140 then down to 110 where it stayed.

Is this kind of thing normal in pregnancy? Can it be doing any harm?

its a normal occurance in preg. due to the extra amount blood ur body is pumping around ur body for bub.. i get them too expecially when im lying down like ur heart is gonna jump out lol..
if ur really worried jus ask ur mw on ur next appt.

i'd say its all the extra blood pumping around hun.
heart palps can be caused by lack of iron, maybe get that checked out. interesting fact, i had really bad heart palps with the girls, but havent had any with this little guy!

Can also sometimes be to do with Thyroid levels...
I used to get palp's & high heart rate b4 being preggers and it was due to my thyroid.
The levels are normal now but I still have to get blood tests done once a month during the pregnancy to make sure it is under control.
Apparently HCG can make them go a bit haywire.

It is normal to have a higher HR in pg as the PP's have said, I have an increased HR during pg and sometimes (like last night i could feel it pounding)
167 is a bit high though, but a rise to 110 would be more normal...
were you racing around when it was 167 or were you hot or stressed? these things will increase your HR.

When is your next appointment? I would def mention it then and take it easy though, rushing around is not going to help (like i can talk )
