I have my 11/12 week scan on Wednesday (NT scan) and I am so excited to finally see bubs. So far we haven't told anyone I'm pregnant, we've been waiting for the scan/slash 12 week mark.
I know I'll get some pics from it, but I'm wondering how soon? Will we get them straight away at the scan, or at our follow up appointment? The main reason I'm asking is because DH's parents are coming to stay the weekend following the scan, and we'd love to announce our little baby and show them the scan pics. But if we won't get them until the follow up scan I won't have them until the following Wednesday
We got a little print out of some 'happy snaps' AT the appt, then depending on where you go some places send like an x-ray film to your Dr.. i hd a couple of these with DD1 but then nothing like that with DD2
Some places will also do a DVD for you f you ask...
Thanks ZF The little 'happy snaps' will be plenty for now lol. I was thinking of scanning a pic and making a kind of card out of it for 'Nan & Pop'. Unfortunately my parents are on a cruise at the moment so won't get their card til later but I'm still getting excited!
I've been to QScan here in Brisbane. At the 8 week scan I got the large x-ray style slide thingamy. At the 12 week scan I got laser coloured printout, and a CD. The CD was tricky, as it had some sort of medical imaging program on it, but I realised I could copy and paste the images into a Word document. I got both lots of images at the time of the appointments.
I've always got instant pics at all of my scans. At the 12 and 20 week I also paid for a DVD. I would ask at the outset of the appointment and they should be able to print them out pretty easily even if it's not standard. I've never had to ask the operators have just done it.
Thanks everyone MrsS I hope their printer's working then!! We're going to a fairly big hospital for it, I'd hope they should have the facilities there. But I might ask first just to see exactly what we can get and if we have to pay for anything extra. Thanks!
