    Baby monitor

    Any recommendations please.

I am borrowing a camera one from a friend but not happy with the sound quality and it has lots of interference.

Can anyone suggest a good monitor. Not fussed about the camera but would love two parents units or a walkabout.

We have the avent dect and it's awesome. Very clear and no interference. No camera either. Has a 330m range too so perfect if needing to go thru a few walls

We have an older style Angelcare and it's crap. Just bought an Oricom from Baby Bunting (recommended by Odette, I think, saw it on fb) and it is brilliant!!!! They have a whole range of different monitors, well worth checking out, and priced well too

I have the oricom secure 500 it worked when we needed it out in the office, it has no interference or feedback and it tells you if the room gets too hot or cold.

we have the oricom secure 500 also....it is awesome!! Whatever brand you choose make sure get a digital one...the sound quality is far superior and much less interference. Also it is on sale in the latest Baby bunting catalogue I think.

ETA: It is a walkabout one......I can be in the back garden and still be in range and I love the temperature reading feature too

FYI - Baby Bunting has the Oricom Secure 500 on sale through 5 Dec for $129 (the flyer says this saves $50).

This is the one I'm thinking of getting so glad to hear great reviews from many of you. I found a new one on eBay for $150 with two parent units.

So I'm going to get that one now !!!

    yup oricom rock!!
and just so you know girls- the batteries in mine were losing their charge so i emailed oricom and they said that any after market batteries were fine
went to **** smith and bought some new ones for $9!!! and it works a treat!!
batteries has lasted me at least 10 hours before i have to recharge it!!!
and also girls if you get the monitor with one parent handset, you can buy and hook up another handset anytime- just purchase them through oricom
Definately the best monitor i have used ( this one is my fourth! LOL)

Given that the 500 is so cheap at Baby Bunting ATM, I'd go with that. I got the 100, I'm not fussed with having extra stuff, and already have a room thermometer. I'm really really happy with it, the sound quality is excellent, so would totally recommend it. It just depends on whether you think you need the extras that the pricier models come with.

    Thanks for the info det

Ok got the 500 from mothercare and they matched the price! So the extra points gave me another $10 off!

Can't wait to set it up!

Have fun with it, I love being able to play lullabies without going into the room.

Just looked at their web page and the extra parent handset can not be worked with the 500 model
