A while ago i had a thread about a man blowing smoke in my face, well he was gone for some time but now he's back.
This time it's not only cigarette smoke i can smell fire.
Again i have been in the kitchen, i get a feeling someone is here i turn around and smell smoke in my face, i have seen him walk past the outside sliding door and i THINK at 1 time he was IN MY BED... i thought DP had come to bed, i rolled over and smack got a whiff of cigarette smoke..
DD1 is not waking screaming over night like she did last time so i think my little 'chat' to stay away from the kids may have worked but he's back again.
The 'fire' smell has been when i wake up to get DD2 for a night feed or first thing in the morning, like someone has had the fire going in the lounge, stupid me checks it EVERY morning JIC.. but of course it's not hot and no wood has been moved.
Anyone got any ideas what he wants or why he's all of a sudden back?
do you know the history of the land at that place? Just a though his house could have been there and he died in a fire early morning caused by him falling asleep with a lit cigarette near the kitchen/lounge area ... thats what i get from it anyway. I think theres more to it as well like he doesnt mean harm hes trying to ensure you are careful about turning things off/fire aware because of his possible fate

is the man about 50 or older? With not much hair on top? Or haven't you seen him that well?
Not 100% sure, parts of the house are quite old, one of the original house around here, it has been renovated and added to about a million times since then though.
Might be worth some digging though, we have some of the plans etc of some of the old add ons... i have no idea where to start.
Apparently there are pics of the ORIGINAL house at the town hall... wonder if we could get a copy?
I saw an old man who smokes pottering around the home, he feels bad that he didn't watch his boy and he burnt his hand on the fireplace. But he had a lot of his plate, something was wrong with his wife...... I think the boys hand was badly deformed from the burn.I think he watches you check on your girls, and isn't harmful..... He is a protective spirit.
I'd be interested if you could look up the history too. Maybe google your house or town history lol
Hey I remember your original post about him. Glad he's leaving the kids alone and staying out of your bed! I hope you can get to the bottom of it, maybe he is there to keep you diligent when it comes to the fire, but, it's coming into warmer weather now so timing is a little odd.

M2R - hmmm i wonder... i tried googling but not much comes up, some stuff in Wikipedia and shows there were fires years back and houses lost but doesn't mention where etc.
Would be AWESOME if i could find out more about the house.
Wikipedia said this area used to be prone to fires, maybe he's giving us a warning about the paddocks? DP has been out on the new ride on and we will be trying to keep around the house down... maybe i need to sit down with DP and work out our 'fire plan' oh and repace the battery in the smoke alarm... went off the other day cos of our crap oven... could hardly hear it...
I think we might be onto something with the 'fire' smell... Monday we got a letter in the mail about a town meeting, it was for Monday night and we only got it on the day DP was going to go but we had tea, got the girls dressed and forgot all about it.
That might i could smell smell smell the yuckiness of the smoke again but ignored it, yesterday we were talking about having to sit down and make a fire plan, so i went to bed earlier than DP, woke up thinking he was in bed.. nope not there.. the smell slowly wafted upstairs and i was like OMG is there a fire then i could have SWORN i heard our flat stupid smoke alarm, run downstairs.. no smoke alarm, no smoke no nothing.
didn't mention it to DP he'd think i'm going nuts.. will take note and go and buy new batteries this week....

its definatley like hes trying to warn you of something, i would be very alert and keep a diary of everything that way you dont forget what hes trying to maybe tell you and yes def buy new batteries!

In the kitchen cooking and DD1 is at the door, she's chatting to Z then she looks up out the sliding door and says someone is here... i go and look no-one and i didn't hear a car.
Go back to the stove and look over at the girls DD1 is holding her hand up to the window (like you do when your checking your own reflection) then says NO MUMMY I'M HOME.
I thought ok maybe she's just chatting away to herself then she says NO I'M HOME i ask whats wrong and she said I DON'T WANT TO GO FOR A DRIVE, i said well were not going for a drive tea is nearly ready and she looked out the window and said SEE MUMMY SAID NO.
Yah asked her tonight, she didn't really know, i asked who was at the door she didn't answer, i asked was it a boy or a girl and she just kept saying BOYGIRL.. BOYGIRL.
Honestly i think last time HE was warning me about my smoke alarm as i haven't felt or smelt him here since so TBH i am not quite sure it's the same one.
I caught her talking to 'the watcher' (old thread) at the old house but i saw him myself.
it is coming up to the anniversary of my brothers death, who knows but i am 100% convinced she was talking to 'someone'
I mentioned it to DP (he normally thinks i'm nuts) and he said, "maybe someone was trying to coax her outside" but i said no i checked and no-one was there and i would have heard them talking to her and he goes "amybe they hid behind the car and were gesturing to her".... hmmm denial much?
The conversation she was having were word based, they were answers not just based on someone pointing or something.
I do find it a little creepy but the whole spirit/ghost/angel thing interests me a little anyway so i'm trying not to be 'scared' by it all.
Hmm M2R do you get any other 'feeling' or have you pictured anything else... could this be the 'boy' you were talking about?
I just find it odd she said she doesn't want to go for a drive
Thanks babe, i'm fairly certain she is seeing/hearing someone, she has been having a few random conversations with herself again today.
Even said to DP what was that noise daddy, we asked what and she said it's ok it's, gone now, i heard it ???
I am pretty sure the smoke man is gone, ever since i changed the batteries in the smoke alarm, i has asked who he was but i was ignored. I'm not sure where to start searching and don't want to do anything that would cost, hmmm tried googling but nothing really came up.. any other ideas?
