Taite and Seth's birthday - How the day was spent.. (LONG)
It was an emotional day, but I also kept in mind it is very much a day to be celebrated. Although my babies aren't here now, they made me a mother and that is worth celebrating.. I started the day feeling a bit lost, emotional etc, but already had a couple of balloons to let go. The weather was overcast (and pretty crappy really) but I made my way to the beach. I cried most of the way.. I got to the beach and it was so windy, it was hard to seperate the balloons while making sure they didn't fly away! I asked some lady to take a couple of pictures of me holding the balloons before I sent them to the boys. I played Baby mine on my laptop and wished my bubs Happy Birthday, and let the balloons go. With the glare, it was hard to see through the camera, so i just took pics everywhere.. Only 1 had the balloons in the distance lol..
The balloons had gone in 2 seconds and I felt sad.. This was all my babies got for their birthday..
I listened to a couple more songs then left the beach and went to my friends house where I was given beautiful S & T ornaments with angels on them.. I cried of course!
I had been invited to a BBQ at another one of their friends house, but wasn't sure if I was up for it. I went along, knowing that if I didn't want to stay I could just leave and they would understand. When I arrived I was given 2 hand made baubles with my babies names on them.. So sweet, so thoughtful so I cried again! I drank champagne while talking about my babies. After lunch, a cake was presented. Again home made just for my boys.. I cried again!
After the cake, there was singstar so we spent the rest of the night singing our lungs out.. I had so much fun, and was so grateful that my friends acknowledged and helped me celebrate the 2nd year anniversary of me becoming a mother.. I am sure if Taite and Seth were watching they would have been happy too
Happy birthday, Taite and Seth! It sounds like you had a beautiful day despite the rocky bits... I'm so glad you have some wonderful friends around you who were there to celebrate with you and support you on what must have been a very tough day emotionally.
I know your beautiful little boys were right alongside you all day, singing along, laughing and enjoying the celebrations.
xx
how special that your friends did that for you, I was thinking of you and your boys yesterday... It's great they are there for you ....What about their dad? Did you speak to him at all?
