Please help me fix my AIO's!

    Hello,

I have quite a few Itti Bitti D'lish AIO's where the bamboo on the underside of the soaker flap has basically disintegrated and is falling apart. The nappies are in great condition besides this and the suede-cloth liner topside of the soaker flap is in good condition.

Basically what I want to do is cut away what's left of the 2 layers of bamboo which has mostly fallen apart anyway from the underside, and replace these 2 layers. I went to spotlight looking for bamboo but all they have is bamboo batting stuff which is not suitable, so just wondering if all you nappy making gurus can tell me what I can use instead or where I can source something suitable to sew onto the underside?

    Thanks in advance!

Snaps Australia or Nappies Covered are good places to source your bamboo.

You could always email itti bitti if they are still in warranty.

Apart from that Green Beans AU or NZ, Snaps Australia, Fairy Fabrics, Nappies Covered & Nappy Works.
    Hope that helps

They are just outside of warranty

They replaced a couple that did it whilst they were in warranty but I have had them awhile now and I suppose nothing lasts forever!

Are microfibre cloths thick? I still need to keep the fabric there quite thin or it will be too bulky through the crotch.

Will have a look at those sites thanks, what fabric types can I use or should be looking for?

What a good idea! You wont get the bamboo you need from spotlight unfortunately but any of the above listed online stores will get you what you need.

I personally would be getting your self a meter or 2 of bamboo, make sure you prewash it (it shrinks a fair bit in the wash) & then do as you intended to repair the booster flap. I wouldn't use microfibre, as the inner of Ittis is microfibre & you will find you will get lots of compression leaks. Microfibre on its own isn't enough, you need the bamboo to hold the wee.

    Good luck with it.

Very confused! It's really hard to tell by the photos on those sites what I need without seeing it in person, they all kind of look similar to me! Okay, after looking at those sites I have a question - for what I want to to do, do I get:

    - Bamboo Velour
    - Bamboo Fleece 420GSM
    - Bamboo Fleece 260GSM
    - Bamboo hemp terry
    - Bamboo interlock

Some of the above look kind of "fluffy", do they thin out and get more a more compact finish once they're washed and shrunk?

Can anyone clarify for me? I have zero experience with bamboo.

get the bamboo fleece 420gm. that will be what was in the itti booster to start with., It will compress a bit after a few uses.
If you want a trimmer nappy you could get the lighter fleece but it wont be as absorbent.
