Car seat anchor bolt: did I do this right??

I've just installed a new anchor point in our XR6 as the original one was too close to the edge of the seat and the achor strap wouldn't tighten enough ...

So, to my point, I just wanted to check I did it right.

Labeled diagram of the anchor point

I took the nut and the spacer off and screwed the rest of the assembly into the pre-drilled hole so it's tight.

Is that all I need to do?
The nut doesn't go back on, on the other side of the parcel shelf? I can't see anyway this is possible without removing the boot lining?
The screw seemed too short with the spacer on it (only 5mm to screw in), is it right to take it off?

Am I making any sense at all?? lol

Go visit your mechanic. Mine has always been available to check the bolts when needed

I would get it double checked just to be safe - unless specified (like the spacer) I don't think you should have spare bits left over.

Hmm. Ok I'll get DF to pop in tomorrow.
I had thought that maybe the nut was to hold it all together so you dont lose anything else? That sounds a bit stupid now I think about it. Lol.
