    Amali Neve...

Okay, so think we have finally hashed out a boys name and got our 6 year old DD to agree (she is the decision maker in the family ...so we think Elijah Jude..

    NOW FOR THE GIRLS NAME!!

As you will see by previous posts, we have been tossing around "Amali" & "Emmerson" for ages...DD thinks it should be Amali Emmerson...BUT I just thought of

Amali Neve (Neve pronounced Neeve as in Eve)

    do you like this....OR

Emmerson Mia (our leftover name from DS)

I think Amali Neve is very nice!

My niece is named Emerson, but they spell it with one 'm'

I didn't realise Emmerson was a girls' name, I've only ever seen it as a boys' name... So my vote's with Amali (though I'm not 100% a fan of that either )

I think traditionally it is a boy's name. It's funny though, now my niece is Emerson it feels like a girls name!

Amali was on my list if DS was a girl. Love it. I think it goes well with Neve too.

I always thought Emmerson was a boy's name too, but I can imagine it working for a girl.

    I really like it.

I've mostly come across Emerson as a guys name, I think it's the 'son' bit that makes me see it as masculine maybe. I'm easily tricked. Reminds me a bit of Elliot (or any variation), I don't mind that as a female name either.

Thanks Guys...I think Amali Neve is really growing on me

I still do love Emmerson though, and funny enough would feel more comfortable using it on a girl than a boy!

I know this is off topic, but I recently met a gorgeous little girl named Elliot! I'd never heard of it used as a girl's name but it suits her.
