My pelvis has been sore previously but this week it's gone mental. Yesterday I could hardly lift my right foot.
Since then, my right leg has felt like there are things constantly crawling up and down it, sort of like tiny electric shocks going up and down. Also felt the need to move it constantly and it feels "fat". So sign of swelling though. My right hand has been swelling with pitting every now and then, though.
My first thought was that it's just restless legs (well, one restless leg), but could it be a sign of oncoming PE?
Some of you might remember my eratic bp in my last pregnancy, which was teamed with trace protein in my wee, swelling/pitting, horrible headaches and heartburn....and may remember that PE wasn't diagnosed until my bp got to dangerous during labour, becuase while my bp did get very high during pregnancy, it was like a yo-yo every time I was admitted for monitoring.
So....I'm a bit PE paranoid this time. Please forgive me for that.
I had restless legs whilst pregnant, drove me nuts at night and I couldn't sleep. I got some tissue salts from the chemist, they are safe to take and work pretty quickly. I think magnesium supplements are also good for restless legs.
Yeah I've never heard of a link between restless legs and PE? I've had restless legs throughout all of my pregnancies, and I'm on my 4th one now - and didn't have PE for any of them
I always thought it was a lack of magnesium that made your legs go like that. My DH massages my legs and feet most nights to stop it from happening, and it does help to get the blood flowing a bit more down there
I have crazy restless legs!! I am chewing like 8 of those Scheussler mag phos tissue salts a day and still get ridiculously bad restless leg... they say Iron can help, and potassium. I always have a banana before bed, and in the last 3 nights my DH has been giving me legs massages where he focuses on the side muscle of my thigh (you will know if they got the right muscle cause it gives you that funny unbearable feeling) and down the side of the lower leg... and for the first time since i got restless leg, it hasn't been so bad!! I still get it but not enough to keep me wide awake and crying until 4-5am in the morning.
Also stretching out my hips and thighs is a must before bed... best one is crossing my legs (but without putting on leg on top of the other if that makes sense) and leabing forwards towards the ground, then swap the leg thats in front to do the other hip... that helps a bit too
Good luck, I know how insane restless leg drive you! Not sure about the link to PE tho.
