Does not sound good - Not sure how long the warranty is for but I'd call the place you bought it first and see what they say
We have a maxi rider, bought it for DS when he was about 18months old as he was just getting way too big for his regular car seat. He will be 4 in April so we've had the seat just over 2yrs.....anyway today we are getting our car ready for a big trip away, including washing the car seat covers & when we took the cover off the maxi rider the foam underneath where the head goes is completely broken/cracked. Is this of safety concerns, should we be getting this covered under some sort of warranty? Has anyone else had a problem with their's?

britex are pretty good with replacing parts, id contact them first
I've not had that happen with ours, but I certainly wouldn't expect it to happen either. I'd definitely give them a call and see what they say.
it has happened to mine.. i havent done anything about it yet ( we are not using it at the moment) but i had a bit of a google and apparently it is common and you can get a replacement from britex. not sure if you have to pay for it or if they send it out for free..
ooo, thanks for the thread. I am aware of a few mums at playgroup that use this car seat. I'll get them to check their's
happened with ours you just ring britex tell them the model and they will send a replacement free of charge ours arrived in about 4 days I live in central RURAL qld so was very surprised how quick etc
Oh my, just swapped our 2 year old out of ours to put our 5 month old in & discovered the same thing!!!! ( Not Maxi Rider but the AHR Meridien, with the same head foam stuff i assume... )
