Red face My beautiful Kookies and Kream

Well ok they are not MINE so much but I have a pair of Kookaburras nesting somewhere close to the house. We have lived here since Dec 2005 offically and NEVER before have I seen them around the house like this.
We get the odd kookie visitor here and there and hear them laughing and cooing but never before have we had interactions like this.
I have posted some gorgeous pics on FB of them I just love them to bits they are absolutely gorgeous.
    Anyhoo,
I had a giggle yesterday, Kream (which I think is the female her feathers are a lighter brown) was sitting on the post and rail fence out the front just watching me. She was sitting there for ages UNTIL this wee little Willy Wag Tale started pestering her. He was flapping around her having a go but not getting too close ... it was hilarious I think she got tired of it because after about 5 mins she flew away.

I love that I often see them sitting on the arch that leads into Nikita's memorial garden, the garden has been in for 2.5 years now and this is the first time I have seen it as a perch for the Kooks. The maggies and minors always use it but not the Kooks. They just sit there perfectly at peace.

I would waffle on about these birds more but I won't.

    I love my Kookies

they are lovely birds aren't they (better than maggies )
There are a few that hang around the parks here and we can sometimes hear them from the house, then DD pipes up with "ooh ooh ah ah ah..." lol
