How to make a wool nappy cover

I know how to knit and crochet scarves and granny squares but never really followed a pattern. Is there a nappy cover pattern out there for dummies or am I dreaming?

Also have a look at Frugal cloth nappies. There are patterns for using old woolen jumpers to make the soakers - I've a couple of these and they are amazing! Great recycling!

The idea of using old woolen jumpers is a good one, I have used them for making training pants and they work so well.

RE: the easy patterns, they are often knitted 'in the round' which can sometimes appear a bit tricky. To make it easier you can knit normally, row by row rather than continually round, then seam them to finish off ITMS. Mum did some like that for me and they turned out fine. After a bit of practice working in the round though, I knitted a pair of gorgeous ones and they are reasonably easy and really lovely. You can find them on Ravelry - look up "vanilla soaker".

I have found this pattern and it appears pretty straight forward but I have not tried it yet...
