    Talk to me about nursing...

I've always regretted not doing nursing. I did teaching. Argh I hate teaching.. I hate everything about it, but the thing is, by the time I decided it wasn't for me, I was in my third year, and thought pulling out would be a waste.

I'm always thinking about nursing.. Should I go back to uni to study nursing??

Ultimately, I would love to become a..... Yep you guess it, a MIDWIFE! Hahaha! I swear everyone on BB wants to be a midwife, we all have the same frame of mind, and clearly love children, family, birth, pregnancy - otherwise we wouldn't be here

The thing that stops me is.. The hours of nursing. Shift work. I really don't know if I could do it, with my young family? Even as they grow older, how do you do it? How does it fit in with your family? And there is the pracs you need to do... Could we afford it?? I'm currently a SAHM, and I would prefer to be home with my kids... I just read you could do it part time over 6 years.... oh so many questions!

If not nursing... maybe social work. Anything that isn't teaching is sounding fab to me!

TT I'm a nurse. I've not long gotten home from work. Too tired to give coherent reply right now... remind me tomorrow? I'll answer whatever you want to know.
