Smile I am so in love with dp right now

Ok, so this is how last night went:
11:00 went in to check on ds before bed, realised he was soaked through and got him up; changed his sleep suit, sleeping bag and sheet, put him back to bed
12:00 got up to get dd more cough mixture
1:00 got up to ds. He couldn't tell me what was wrong, just asked for his bedtime songs.
    1:45 up again, needed comfort
up and down every hour or so up until 4:00, when I started to feel myself getting angry and frustrated. I came back to bed and just burst into tears. I'd already had two angry days with the cubs and now it looked like I was in for another one because I still hadn't been to sleep.
Anyway, DP woke up and didn't say anything (may not have been awake) just held me while I cried it out and until I was calm enough to fall asleep.
Then he played with the cubs this morning so that I didn't have to engage before I was able (I'm not good with mornings at the best of times) and took dd into school with him for the last day. He said he would keep her with him until ds wakes up from his nap, so I get a little bit of time out too. Plus ds is much lower maintenance than dd, so my day has already been much easier than it could have been
I'm about to go pick her up now and I'm calm and relaxed - yay
I don't usually post things like this, but I'm just so full of warm fuzzies for him right now that I wanted to share

It is so nice when our partners are caring and thoughtful like that.

What a lovely gesture. It's great when everyone helps out to lessen the stress.
Hope your day is going well

This is so sweet Youve obviously picked the right guy to have a family with!
I love this post My husbands like this too. I am up most nights for the majority because Im still BF my youngest and dont like to co-sleep (makes me nervous and stops me sleeping) So Im up and down all night plus for some reason I cant sleep while feeding either and mostly he gos for an hour at a time, 4-5 times a night

So hubby brings him to me and takes him back to his cot whenever I dont feel awake enough to do it safely, and he also gets up with him and his brother at 5am till 7:30 when he leaves for work, he wakes me up about 20 mins before he leaves and usually makes me a coffee!
    Hes absolutely amazing!

When we got together my first son was 4 months old (had an abusive partner we "escaped" from) and he took on my DS as his own from day one, loves him unconditionally and treats him the same as our youngest..

Its so nice to know there are men like these
