OUCHIES! I remember that pain sooo well unfortunately. It could just be stretching. I had SPD with #3, so it was like 10 times worse than other pregnancies.
My pelvis hurts!! Right in the middle down low at the front. From diagrams I've seen about birth and how the pelvis opens up I know that's where it joins together with ligaments or something so I guess it's right there it's hurting. I remember being a bit sore there with DD at times but this isn't going away. It started last week some time and I thought I'd just done a bit too much that day or something so took it easy for a few days but it hasn't stopped. It hurts when I walk or try and get up from sitting, trying to get out of bed or roll over is a PITA! And I have unfortunately just discovered not to step sideways, ouch, must walk around in straight lines now, lol.
So, have I done something bad to myself? Or is it just normal stretching and the baby pressing down there? Is it going to get better?

Sounds like SPD to me. Go and see a chiro for some relief and wear a support belt.
I only had it with my 3rd pregnancy and it didn't clear up until she was 6months old...
I have been seeing a chiro. Saw him last week but forgot to mention itit was only when it just started and wasn't that bad. But today it's the worst it's been, feels like it's about to snap in half or something, eek. I feel like I'm hobbling around really slowly. Must have been from doing the washing but I have so much cleaning and stuff to do before we go away, bugger. I don't have my next chiro appt until the 5th now, I wonder if I should try and make one today instead so I can go again before I go away.
I would try and get in today. With my pregnancy with DD3, it felt like it was going to snap (my exact words to my dr). It all stretches down there, but sometimes can stretch too far, which is where the support belt comes in handy.
I'd say it definitely sounds like SPD - mine is starting to go on me as well. I have a support belt to wear (although I'm too stubborn to use it) and I have chiro every few weeks. I had a session yesterday and for the first time this pregnancy my pelvis was out of alignment.
Definitely get onto it so its more managable.
ugh, if it's SPD does that mean it will keep getting worse??Bugger!!
Can't get into the chiro today unfortunately so will have to wait. But luckily only 1 more day of work and then DH is on holidays for almost 2 weeks so I won't have to do so much and hopefully it won't get worse before I see the chiro again.
I think it's different for everyone. For mine, the support belt was my relief. And as bub started engaging towards the end, it got better as well. And mine was completely gone once DD had arrived.
It does sound like SPD, as PP's have said. Try and rest, and ice your pelvis often. This should reduce the pain and is the best thing you can do right now. Avoid lifting one leg higher than the other (so sit down when putting on clothes, for example) and try to keep your knees together when getting in and out of bed or the car. If you get in to see your chiro soon, and rest now whilst it is sore, there is no reason it will get any worse. In fact many women find it starts to get better in the last few weeks as baby gets lower into your pelvis so this may be the worst it gets.![]()
