DS has clicky feet, ie. you can feel them clicking when you hold his feet. DH googled and found a link that said this was usual as feet have so many bones that are not yet formed.
DS is nearly 5 months so still quite a bit of developing going on and to go, but is this really normal? Just need some reassurance, or guidance to get it looked into please. DH is starting to stress about it, which is stressing me.
ETA: We can only feel the clicking. We do not hear it.
My DS is quite a clicky little man, he has had all the newborn checks with a paed which were all fine. At the moment his ankles click the most which I have read that this can be caused by walking on tiptoes which he does all the time. It doesn't happen too often tho maybe once every couple of weeks. I am a super clicky person too, all the time so perhaps he is just going to be like me. He never flinches or indicates pain when it happens so my mothers intuition has always told me not to be too concerned. But I keep a close eye on him and will likely mention it when we visit a doc again. Like you I have googled it too and although I haven't found a great deal of info what I have found has said it isn't anything serious. Oh and I hear DS's clicking too but it ie soft more like a little pop compared to my adult body clicks.
Thank you AJC. When DH wakes up (he fell asleep on the lounge) I'll let him know. I don't think DS feels any discomfort as he pushes well with his feet given the chance. It just doesn't feel very nice.
DS2 has audible clicks, which worried DH a little I think, but I've reassured him that I am very clicky too. It's not painful, just annoying. I can remember as a teenager trying to sneak out of the house in the night and hearing my joints click and thinking I would get busted
