maybe its a sign of a girl my aunt had the worst MS with her girl but none with her boy so could be a sign of a different sex baby
I am six weeks pregnant and I just dont feel it.
With my two boys I was already throwing up constantly by this stage with them. In fact my m/s kicked in at exactly 5 weeks with both of them and I was diagnosed with hyperemesis with both, so I am very concerned at the lack of ANY m/s at over 6 weeks. Im not deadly tired either, but then Im used to having zero energy in the first trimester due to almost constant vomiting.
I know it is still very early and the m/s could kick in at any moment but Im a bit worried, especially because I know it is very common to have hyperemesis recur in subsequent pgs. Something just doesnt feel right.
Did any of you have quite severe or even bad m/s with one pg and then none with another and still be ok?

I was so so sick with the twins, it was revolting...Even thinking about food would see me vomiting.
Never had ANY ms at all with Charlotte or this current pregnancy... Each pregnancy is different, as is every baby, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.
My issue appears to be the reverse... Last pregnancy no m/s at all bar brief moments of queezy now and then. This pregnancy, I'm not even 4 weeks yet and feeling gross and nauseous most of the time. I have heard before that pregnancies can be very different, so hopefully for you, you're just getting to enjoy a healthy pregnancy without vomit! All the best for a happy, spew-free preg and a healthy bubba.
With Jayvan i had a constant hung over feel/felt like i was on the verge of puking all the time. With Jackson, nothing. I felt fantastic.
Jackson is here, Jayvan is not. MS means diddlysquat to the outcome of your pg![]()
I didn't ever vomit with DS, but was VERY nauseous for most of the day very early on. I couldn't get out of bed without eating some Clix biscuits to take the edge off & if I let DH drive I'd get terribly carsick.
This time around I feel pretty good! I've barely had any nausea & when I have it passes very quickly. I guess every pregnancy is different - I hope MS stays away for you this time around!
Well I had Hypermesis Grad too with my ds and this time nothing , im hoping its just a different sex too![]()
Thanks for reassuring me. I feel much better now!
I have a scan booked for the 4th of Jan, and I think I'll relax so much more after I see the little heart beating away.
Its funny you say that because my boys pgs were carbon copies of each other, yet this one is soooo different already. I dont know if it means a girl for me though, but it would be nice after having two boys. Of course, another little boy would be lovely too.
Hyperemisis with both pregnancies here, hospitalised for rehydration and etc...the only thing diff is that with P I was still puking at 36 weeks and this time I got diagnosed much sooner and so got onto the hardcare anti-nausea meds way earlier.
Apparently this one is another girl...so that is interesting.
My Mum also had hyperemisis with me apparently - I have heard it runs in families, but not sure how true that is.
With DD I had m/s at night from 7 weeks till 22 weeks. With this PG its weird. Before I was even 4 weeks I woke up 3 nights in a row and felt extremely nauseous..now at 4 weeks I feel fine. I hope nothing is wrong either as I have had a miscarriage in the past. My first appt. is Jan. 5th.....Oh the 1st trimester is soo scary. Always wondering if the baby is ok...I cant wait until my first scan..![]()
I had severe m/s (nausea and LOTS of vomiting - if I had to count I'd guestimate about 50 times a day lol) with DS1 and the angel between the boys.
With DS2 I only vomited maybe 3-4 times in the whole pregnancy. I had different complications with DS2 than what I did with DS1 and our angel.
another that had severe m/s with the first and barely anything with this pregnancy. Last pregnancy I could barely eat, was in hospital for rehydration several times etc, this one totally different. I worried me at first as well. The only thing that kept me sane during the constant bouts of m/s with DS was that I would say to myself, at least I know he is in there. Enjoy the break, fingers crossed it doenst come later.
With my girls I had ms all the way through, it was really bad the first 8 weeks and again towards the end. With ds I had virtually none.
with DS, I was queasy, could cook/make food but not eat it and vice versa, but most days, nothing.
With this baby, nauseas all the time, no vomiting, but certain foods made me want to hurl - even just thinking of them! If I got too hungry before eating (eg: left it too long to eat after I noticed I was hungry, or too long between meals), I'd be floored. I'd have to lie down coz I couldn't stand or function. Made the evenings really difficult.
With DD I had nausea from weeks 7 to 12 (no vomiting) and had aversions to certain foods throughout the whole pregnancy. This time with the boys I had severe nausea (worse than with DD) from weeks 7 to 9 (still no vomiting) but no food aversions and so far *touch wood* everything is going perfectly - especially for a twin pregnancy.
I had none what so ever with DS but with DD i was puking and so sick all the time![]()
I had hyperemesis with all my girls. Just plain old average m/s with DS.
For me its the sex. With my older girls it kicked it about 5 weeks. With DD3 I thought she must've been a boy coz I had no idea I was pregnant til I was about 7 weeks & ms wasn't too bad. It did get bad though & lasted til 20 - 22 weeks, same as with my other girls, just not half the vomitting.
With DS I rarely got to the point of throwing up. Maybe once every 2 - 3 days (my older girls had been around 20 times a day) & I felt 100% better at 12-13 weeks.
My Mum had severe m/s with me throughout most of her pg, then reasonably bad m/s with my sister and barely anything with #3 (who was a surprise pg). Another girl, so definnitely not down to gender in her case!
She was somewhat miffed that for my pg with DD I wasn't even slightly nauseous.I'll have to get back to you on pg #2, when it happens.
