UTI and pregancy

hi i have just been to the docotrs to be told i have a UTI just wondering about it as the doc didn't really say anything and can this cause anything to do with pre labour as i am due soon

Hi Kelly! Your doctor should have prescribed you antibiotics if its a UTI. I had 2 with my first pregnancy and had to go on antibiotics because i was told it can make you really sick having it untreated when pregnant. I'd be going back and asking for a presription. There are antibiotics that are safe in pregnancy.

With pre-labour i am unsure, so best to be on the safe side.
