4D Ultrasounds in the Nepean Area

Please tell me all about them

Also wondering if anyone knows how to get a 4D Ultrasound? Do I need a referral? Or can I just make an appointment?

Also - Are there any places in the Nepean Area? If not, could you please let me know of any in the Western Syd Area?

    TIA

    Hey MissM
I'm pretty sure penrith ultrasound for women does them. I know they have at least 3D and I'm pretty sure I remembered reading about DVDS... They are at/next to nepean private from memory
For there you do need a referral, I'm sure your GP would give you one for your 12wk appt. I'm not sure on price though, maybe call them and check? I know I had to pay about $130 for my normal scan which the standard places would bulk bill.

My friend had hers done at Campbelltown- I think it was called Tara Imaging?

    hope that helps

    Congratulations!!!

Yes Penrith Ultrasound for Women do them. You will need a referral but the quality is excellent for 3d and 4d and you can pay $10 for the DVD aswell. I had a complicated pregnancy so had a few scans done there as well as CVS testing!!! I cant remember the prices though you will get some back from medicare!

Last time I was at Nepean/Penrith Ultrasound for Women, they had pics on display for 3D/4D ultrasounds. I tried not to look at them too much as I was going in for a HyCoSy. So I'm not 100% certain what dimension it was.

Yes Lozzy, they are next to Nepean Private.

I had DD's done there too and they were great. I think they will only do the 3/4D ones when you are more advanced ie 18weeks and after. Before that is just the regular ones. They were a bit on the exxie side from memory, but my DD is nearly 5 so that could have changed.

I go there for my scans. They're really nice there. My recent scans were the 6wk viability scan ($130) and the 12wk NT scan ($150). I'm booked in for my morphology scan in january but can't remember how much they said it would be.

I got a DVD at the 12wk but didn't get 3d. I actually meant to check that I can get 3d for the next one. I recall having to ask for the 3d room for that. But that was a few years ago I had my last morphology scan

I agree with Liz. I couldn't fault the service. The Dr made an unpleasant experience bearable.

I hope to go back there for scans when the time comes.
