Please Help.. What's Wrong With My Kitten?!

    Hello,

I have a approx 12 week old kitten who has been acting sick for the last hour or so. He has vomited quite a few times, is panting and generally looks sick.. he is also meowing loudly. He does seemed to have picked up a little bit in the last 10 mins or so but i am worried he may have eaten something he shouldn't have or been bitten by something nasty.

Normally i would have rang the vet straight away but, you wouldn't believe it, my home phone has not been working last few days and now my iPhone has frozen! ARRRGHHHHH!

Has anyone had anything similar happen to their cat as, if so, what was wrong and what happened? Any suggestions as to what i should do?

    Thanks In Advance
    x

I would get the kitty to the vets ASAP as young animals dehydrate fast and can go down hill very fast.

    Going to hunt some more.

I hope you find him and he is fine. Definately call a vet asap. Poor little baby, I hope whatever was wrong was not too bad and it's passed now

FX things worked out all right, but it sounds like a snake bite. If it is unless they get emergency treatment ASAP there is nothing you can do, and even then on a kitten odds are against survival.

I hope I'm wrong, but I have seen this same thing a number of times.

OK, I found him. He has perked up a fair bit and was drinking water as soon as i offered it to him. I have been monitoring him and he is not meowing anymore and is sitting then laying then switching, so is not lethargic anymore. I'm hoping whatever it was has just passed as i am sure if it was something more sinister (ie snake bite.. EEK!) he would be getting worse, not better. I REAAAALLLLY cannot afford to take him to the vet right now (obviously i would if i had to though!) so fingers crossed he gets better!

Thankyou all so very much! If need be i'll go to the neighbour and get her to call the vet for me.

    Thanks so much! x

Thank goodness! Hopefully it was just dehydration or an upset tummy.
