    Question Eating enough while pregnant!

    Hi girls!!!

I have posted this in my bb group bit just wanted done more advice

Now the ms has died down is every one getting there appetites back??? I am doing ok eating wise during the day, I have a banana smoothie for breaky, home made chicken and sweetcorn soup for lunch and some Ginger and lemon tea a few times a morning ( I am a creature of habit so I will have the same lunch everyday for a week!!!!) But at night time I'm struggling!!! I had grilled zucchini a tiny potato and about 100grams of kangaroo last night, I just can't eat at night I'm not hungry! Problem is that only equates to about 850 -900 calories! And my bmr is about 1600! Which being pregnant says I should add more to my bmr anyway and eat near 2000 calories.
Do u think I'm giving the baby enough food - that is my biggest stress!!!!

I am a huge calorie counter which has helped me loose 30 kilos since having my first child, I don't mind putting on weight while pregnant with this one but I just can't get my calories high enough for a day!!!!

    Thanks
    Jac

Hun, that baby will take everything it needs from you no matter what you do! Its needs are looked after well before your bodies iykwim. My story was completely different but during pregnancy I lost 15% of my body weight through hyperemesis and dehydration and still birthed a healthy 7lb 9oz baby girl. Maybe others will disagree but you cant force yourself to be hungry when you're not.

Dont stress and dont beat yourself up, just eat healthy and eat what you can, when you can

Not sure but I'll be watching this carefully as I've ben experiencing similar.

After Hyperemisis, even water has been hard. I'm usually a mad keen water drinker (4L a day) and an uber healthy mad-keen on fruit and veg vegan, but now...I'm probably getting betwwen 500 and 700 cals a day. Nowhere near enough, even though I am obese.

I just can't work up an appetite! Food just feels gross becuase of heartburn, nausea, lack of tummy space (because there's a baby taking up all the room!) etc etc. I'm low on Iron, B12, Vit D (but that's more a sunshine thing) and Calcium (but that's a vegan thing lol) even though I take my supplements...I just don't get hungry!

If baby doesn't get enough cals and nutrients from food it'll take from your body stores, which is what makes the Mummy low of nutrients and etc.

I'm not too worried because 1) I am medically obese anyway 2) I haven't lost as much weight through Hyperemisis this time as last pregnancy (12 that time, 7 this time), 3) My weight is steady.

So don't stress...get what you can into you. You're only 13 weeks...many of us still cannot stand the smell of food at that point!
