Substitute for bread improver?
I want to make some bread but have run out of bread improver. Does anyone know what I can use instead of bread improver? Would something like gelatin work? Or can I leave out the bread improver altogether?
TIA

Yeah it's a totally not needed product....marketed to us to think we need it.
I make a damn good loaf (after much trial and error though LOL) and it's just yeast, water, salt, flour.
A pinch of sugar put in with the yeast/when you mix the dry ingredients helps the yeast activate and rise, because it feeds off the sugar.
