Best breed of rabbit for a child?

My DD4 has wanted a rabbit for over a year now and its coming up to her birthday in a few months and I would like to get her one. Just wondering what breeds are more desirable for young children? Any other advice greatly appreciated.

mini lops have stronger bones than most rabbits and are generally the most placid with kids.
females dig and get moody and anti social, in my experience boys make better pets and are alot more easily house trained if thats the way u want to go.
side note, ur location thing says ur in qld, pretty sure rabbits are banned as pets, unless ur a magician....

From what little I understand, it is not recommended that rabbits be bought as pets for young children. There bones are extremely fragile and easily break when a littlie picks bunny up for a cuddle.
Maybe ask the RSPCA for advice.

ETA: as Skybie said, in QLD it is illegal to have rabbits as pets

We have a mini lop, she is so placid, friendly and a good size
I'd def recommend a mini lop!
If you're in Melb I can recommend a breeder, I can't see where you are because I'm on my phone
Oh you're in NSW just disregard that hehe.
