Hi all. On and off for a few weeks I have had odd stabby feelings around my cervix. I can't remember having these with DD but I didn't find out i was UTD until 11 weeks with her. Has anyone else had these? When do they seem to occur with you? Is it a second pregnancy thing?
Thanks
<3 CL
ETA: They aren't particularly painful, just niggles
I think maybe I've had a few of these. But since this is my first I'm not super familiar with what feels like cervix versus other parts of abdomen.
I swear all these cramps and niggles are probably total normal, it's just we place so much attention and importance on them when we're worried about a bub!
I keep on forgetting I have a lot of intestines in there and am constantly assuming all my gas pains are miscarriage signs!
Crazylady - With this PG I had all the stretching niggles & pinches so much earlier on than the last PG. I also showed heaps earlier too. Thats what it sounds like with you too. HTH
OMG. First time I read this it was "old scabby nipples" ... Then it was "old stabby nipples" .. and then "odd stabby nipples"
It wasn't until I re-read this just now for the 14th time that I saw it was niggles, not nipples! (guess I'm obsessed!!!)
I felt something weird with the last pregnancy - I think it was more due to knowing that my body was transforming, and actually listening to it instead of dismissing it. Hope they aren't annoying you too much and congrats!!!
Lozzy, it is an oss feeling when your internal organs start moving about
Lissy- I think it is because I am so much more aware this round. I already have to wear maternity pants because my super flat tummy has popped really quick. I got OB to double check it wasn't 2 in there
Kaz- *sigh* hun I think you are booby mad Thanks for the grats. They are more just there then irritating. I'm not stressed too much because I haven't had any other pains or such. I really think it's because my body is reacting faster this time around.
yep im getting them as well, lots of stretching too... i think u feel everything so much more the 2nd time, i had hardly any symptoms with DS until about 7-8 weeks, but have every symptom in the book atm!
Hi Everyone, i have this aswell and it was just a slight niggling on my right side of my pelvis....I had a scan last week and told the nurse whilst she was doing the scan .... She and myDoctor explained to me i have a Corpus Luteum Cyst on my right ovary which explains the nigglng... Mine is not painful.. here is some more info on Corpus Luteum. They are nothing to worry about which is good!
cells in the ovary form a structure called the corpus luteum. The corpus luteum produces progesterone, the hormone that prepares the uterine lining cells for the arrival of the fertilized egg. Every menstruating woman, every month, forms a corpus luteum. However, cells can produce fluid within the corpus luteum and form a cyst. While a corpus luteum cyst is usually no larger than a small marble, sometimes so much fluid is produced that a cyst of a few inches results. The good news is that, like follicular cysts, practically all corpus luteum cysts will go away by themselves in a few weeks. Follicular cysts and corpus luteum cysts are collectively referred to as functional cysts
