Hi, just wondering if you used clomid to conceive your first baby did you need it the second time around aswell?

I am very lucky that 50mg worked for me the first cycle I tried it, does this give me a good chance of it working again if I'm not ovulating again?

Also a friend has told me that she has PCOS aswell and is still ovulating but tests have shown she has low progesterone and this will cause a miscarriage so she still needs to use clomid. so Does clomid prevent miscarriages aswell? I am very scared of losing another baby as I miscarried a baby concieved naturally.

Hi erybery, I have not yet conceived on clomid, but this is only my third cycle. from what I've read from other ladies they have usually conceived naturally and then later on had to use clomid. I would say that if it worked the first time then your body responds well to clomid.
Maybe you should pop in to the clomid/metformin thread in LTTTC and have a look around and maybe ask a few more questions. Sorry i couldn't be of more help.

I have PCOS and i concieved my 1st DD with clomid and have gone on to have 3 more babies naturally.It is very possible but i guess it depends on how aggresive your pcos is and how your hormone levels are.
