A woohoo in my heinous day

I know some of you might be horrified, but my bright little DD has not yet been able to master TT at night even though she is nearly 5. I have received thousands of disparaging remarks and chosen to ignore the same, whilst sticking to my guns that she would do it when and where she was ready.
2 nights ago we forgot (well I reminded but she forgot) to put a nappy on and she burst in the next morning to tell me she had gone all night with no wees!
Quick pep talk with Daddy, Nan and Grandma on the phone and she felt confident enough to do it last night too....no wees!

She is so proud of herself, and so am I. I could see it was starting to affect her confidence and this was such a boost for her.

    Yay for your dd!!!!!

I can totally relate to this, just the other night my ds1 went his first night with no wet bed or nappy, he was 5yrs in Oct! We also forgot to put a drynight nappy on him!

The confidence boost they get is amazing!!!!!

Good on you for not pushing her, I too got lots of 'helpful' comments and suggestions but decided to wait until he was ready!

    Thank you all girls.
She is pleased with herself, and has happily trundled off tonight with no nappy.
Sometimes you need those moments when you can say - yes I was right, I did know best.

    Awesome, well done!!

And FWIW Kim, my Ds1 is 4 and a half and still in pull ups to bed. I could care less because I am confident with time he will be dry of a night. So good on you for listening to your instincts and not the comments
