Its been 40 days.. Was expecting the wicked witch by now, is this normal after a M/C?

Hello.. and thank you for reading this.

I had a M/C early in December and although heartbreaking. It was over in 7 days. Just like I had a normal period. So I thought I would have a normal cycle after. I kept checking my CM and all seemed normal. I did notice that this looked like I O'd late in the cycle.. (didn't write it down.. but im sure its been a while now.)
Anyway.. Im currently 40 days into my cycle. Should I be worried that i didn't O??
Do I need to check anything?? Pregnancy is also in the back of my mind. But feel I was just not that lucky this round.

Should I just wait it out a lil longer for AF?? Or see a doc??

    Thank you

Firstly so sorry for your loss

In my experiences AF has returned on time or a little late after a M/C. I don't think anything is "normal" when going through this, have you tried testing? Maybe you did catch an egg.

If it's not troubling you I would wait another week and then see the Dr

Sorry to hear that u had a m/c Af for me didnt turn up for 3 months after my m/c and it only did then because i took progesterone pills to bring it on! Very very frustrating especially since i wanted to fall pg again ASAP. I went thru so many hpts in that time its ridiculous! I really hope this isnt the case for u tho and either ur pg (FX!) or the wicked witch is just around the corner. Drs do say it can take up to 8 weeks to return tho. Hope this helps!

    Toomanyshoes...

    Thank you.

Love the name by the way!! Although.. I don't think us girls can have TOO many shoes! LOL

I am close to testing.. just cause the mind plays on it. But it's not bothering me too much. So might just hang out for a little longer if all this is normal.

Thank you for your reply. Ill be able to stop thinking hopefully!

Thank you Reet.. it does help to know it can take a while. Might just POAS this weekend if AF hasn't show up yet. Just to kill that theory.

    Thanks!

It's VERY hard not to think about it! If it starts to worry you, pop back into your Dr even if its just to put your mind at ease.

hun sucks not knowing doesn't it.
Sometimes the HCG levels take a little while to drop after a m/c so your cycle won't return to normal until after they're back under 5mmol/l.

After my m/c my cycles were all over the place and I had a couple of really long ones with late ovulation.
